Hong Kong-based RainMaker Asia Holdings Ltd (“RAH”) is a financial advisory firm whose primary mandate is to assist Asia-based emerging growth corporate clients in mission critical strategic matters.
RAH’s support the revenue growth plan by helping clients to develop working approaches to engage customers, differentiate their offerings from competitors, protect and manage intellectual property, and plan/execute operations to support revenue strategies. In addition RAH assists in the execution of such strategic plans, by advising on the creation of the sales and marketing collateral required to engage such customers and partners, and by providing introductions to high level decision-makers at target customers and partners.
RAH supports the financing plan, by advising our clients on how to structure financial offerings and how to write offering materials for acquiring equity and debt financing, as well as providing ongoing advice on the technical/legal aspects of financing events.
RAH supports the exit plan by advising our clients on how to structure a sale, with the objective to maximize the likelihood and value of a sale event. Further, we assist in the planning of the sale process and advise on relevant legal and financial matters related to a sale.
Moncef started his career in investment banking in New York for over a decade prior to moving to Asia to focus on distress and special situations with JP Morgan and laterally Lehman Brothers Hong Kong. Prior to that, Moncef worked for Bank Leumi and Barclays in New York. Utilizing his network and passion to build new businesses, in 2007 left banking to create a platform focused on cross-border opportunities between Asia, Russia, US and Israel.
Today Moncef is Managing Partner of Rainmaker Securities Asia, licensed in Hong Kong. He is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s business and growth strategy in Asia. He specializes cross border M&A, primary/secondary private placements and fund raising for companies- from late VC to pre-IPO. Moncef focuses on high-tech venture start-ups and fast- to growing SMEs. Successfully completed transactions include first rounds, second rounds, convertible debt, special situation, and distress.
Moncef attended Audrey Cohen college in New York. He has native language proficiency in English, Arabic, and French, and limited proficiency in Russian and Cantonese.
