Industry News Update – Week of 6/5/2017

Last week, SpaceX successfully reused a Dragon space craft to deliver supplies to the International Space Station.

Blue Apron filed for its IPO on June 1st and is expected to raise $100 million in the offering.

Coupang’s rapid expansion of its Rocket Shipping, expedited shipping service that delivers products before midnight the next day, led to large net losses which resulted in Coupang undertaking staff cuts in its delivery workforce. Several of Coupang's delivery workers collectively filed a petition to raise public awareness of Coupang’s labor rights abuse since the company fired a significant portion of its delivery workforce (10%) for lack of substantial reasons.  

Stripe introduced a real-time data analytics platform, Sigma, to help businesses examine payment data such as average revenue per user and recurring revenue.
