Industry News Update – Week of 7/9/2018:

Last week, Xiaomi raised $4.7 billion in its IPO and the company was valued at $54 billion. Xiaomi ’s shares closed at HK$16.80 ($2.14) on its first day of trading which represents a 1.2% decrease compared to its original share price.

Juul was planning to raise $1.2 billion at a $15 billion valuation.

Bloom Energy planned to raise $252 million in its IPO at a price range of $13 to $15 that would value the company at roughly $1.5 billion.

Sonos and Tencent Music Entertainment have both filed documents for their upcoming IPOs.

Uber held preliminary discussions to merge its Middle East business with Careem.
